The great thing about Laura’s wedding at Victoria Baths in Manchester was how she made sure that every element was really special. Her stunning dress was made especially for her from an antique lace veil.
As the dress was very intricate, I kept Laura’s makeup simple. Getting her ready and the Didsbury House Hotel in Didsbury, I used soft and shimmery peaches and dusky pinks on her eyes and cheeks to give her a fresh and rosy glow. The idea was to create an all-round naturally beautiful look rather than to focus on one particular feature. I set Laura’s hair in pin curls, which were later dressed out into a 1920s style fingerwave by her hairdresser sister-in-law Katie Tweedale.
