Hannah and Fiona’s wedding was special because I had the pleasure of doing hair and makeup for not one but two brides. They tied the knot at Manchester Museum, which is a great and quirky wedding venue that had a special significance as it’s where the couple got engaged. It’s a great story that even made the Manchester Evening News.
I started the day with Hannah, who got ready with her bridesmaids at a hotel. She has beautiful thick hair that I barrel curled before pinning into a low chignon. For her makeup I focused on Hannah’s eyes and giving her glowing English rose cheeks.
As soon as I’d finished with Hannah, I rushed round the corner to Fiona who was getting ready at their home. She was fresh from the hairdressers so it was up to me to give her a natural makeup look. As she never wears makeup day to day, she wanted to look good on camera but also feel comfortable and not heavily made up. I gave her fresh skin using lightweight MAC Face and Body foundation and simple eye makeup.
Thank you to Simon Stacpoole for these amazing pictures.
