Bridal Makeup Artist in Manchester

I am a bridal makeup artist and hair stylist providing a warm and friendly service for brides, bridesmaids and mums in Manchester and across the North West including Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and West Yorkshire. I have been specialising in bridal makeup for nine years and in that time have built up a wealth of experience to help you look and feel amazing on your wedding day. Many of my bookings come via recommendation from previous clients.

Bespoke Bridal Makeup

My passion is creating elegant and timeless makeup and hair that will reflect your personality and make you look and feel your very best on your big day. Many brides-to-be tell me they want to look the best version of themselves on their wedding day and I specialise in creating a look that reflects each client’s personal style. A lot of my brides don’t wear any make up at all on a day to day basis and want to look flawless in the photographs but not heavily made up. For brides who do wear makeup, I take their usual day or evening makeup as a starting point when designing their bridal look.

The time spent on your hair and makeup is a perfect opportunity to relax on an otherwise busy morning. I work quickly and efficiently to make sure that everyone will be ready in time. For large wedding parties I bring another trusted and experienced hair and makeup artist along with me to help out. I use high quality cosmetic brands including MAC, Illamasqua and Dermalogica to ensure that your skin is radiant and your make up will look flawless all day and night. The feedback I have had from brides over the years has made me confident that the makeup I apply lasts all day and night.

It is important your makeup looks perfect not only in natural daylight but also on the photographs, especially if flash is used later on in the day. My experience in hair and makeup for editorial photography means that I can ensure your makeup looks as great on camera as it does in the mirror.

I am proud to have had my work featured in Brides Up North, Rock My WeddingLove My Dress, Boho WeddingsMarry Me Ink, The Wedding Secret, Plans and Presents and Your Manchester Wedding magazine.

Bridal Make Up Team

In 2015 I found myself unable to keep up with demand as a solo operation and I decided to launch my Bridal Make Up Team. I called on some of the skilled and experienced hair and make up artists I have worked with over the years to join me. It means that if I am already booked on your wedding date, I can still provide you with a reliable professional make up artist or hair stylist who will make sure you look perfect on your big day.

Wedding Trial

The hair and makeup trial is an important part of the service I provide. It is an opportunity for me to get to know you as well as to have a practice run. If you have a style in mind, that’s great but it’s not essential as we can try a few different options. The simplest way I’ve found to trial hair for a bride who is unsure is to create three styles: down, half up and fully up. I can always tell by the bride’s face when she sees the one she likes the best.

Pictures really help me to get an idea of the style you’d like to go for and nowadays there’s a wealth of inspiration to be found online. Have a peek at my gallery and also at my bridal Pinterest boards (but be warned – Pinterest is highly addictive!) The best way to ensure the look you want is one I can successfully recreate on you is to choose pictures where the model’s hair and skin tone are similar to your own.

I usually suggest a trial around three months before the wedding but some brides prefer to have it earlier, while others leave it until the last minute. To prepare, you only need to make sure your hair is washed (the night before is fine) and that your skin is makeup free. I am fully mobile and more than happy to travel to you.

For more information about preparing for your trial, head over to my blog and read How To Get The Most Out of Your Make Up Trial.
